The City dragged a local beach of its obstructing driftwood the other day, heaping it next to a parking lot for the taking. Rob's been collecting firewood for Fridays and I've been dreaming of a backyard table. It turns out that driftwood, just like that greener-than-green, west-of-Portland temperate rainforest, speaks to my soul. Wow. -a lovely sigh-

Family meeting
We had our first official Family Festivus the other day. And it was a success. It turns out that I deserved that Jerstead-Agerholm gold and black Mediator t-shirt of the '80s, even though I was useless to Kevin and Quentin at the time. Ha! Girumy is a master of recapitulation and Ty is as sincere as they come. The children would like to celebrate monthly, although I don't think that I have the mental capacity for that. We'll see.

Around here
Out of the mouths of my babes
I needed soul food yesterday, so we had Indian. As I was unpacking it and opening all of the containers, Girumy said, "What a sumptuous feast!"
And then today, after leaving the office of our dietician, G said, "That was efficient. Are you satisfied with the information she gave us?" "Yes, baby, yes."

Where, o where?
Where have I been? Well, it's like this: I can't get any more photos on to this here doo-hicky, because it says that there is no room, even though I hardly have anything on here. And, yes, I know that I don't need photos, but they're nice.
Whatever.
I made it through birthday season. Shoo! I believe that everyone felt loved, which is the goal; even though Rob's lava cakes... well, they were lava-like. And G is already looking ahead to 13. Ah!
I have been making homemade pasta again, with Ty as sous-chef, which feels and tastes oh-so-good. Ty is the omelette master, G is Mr. Coffee and scones and Sophie... well, she makes a mad sugar free lemonade. Puckeringly good!
Alright. Delirium is returning. Outtie.
