Ethiopia, day 1: Friday, 06 December

-We all arrived at the Chicago airport safely and with plenty of time.
-The nice checker-inner lady helped us rearrange the all-important-candy in our bags so that none was overweight... this after just having dealt with a super-surly customer.
-KK and I went to Chili's (Only when trapped in an airport!) to have a liqui-snack and... So, we were seated at a cramped counter.  After a few minutes, the guy to my left asked where we were flying.  "Ethiopia."  "What?!"  He then asked why and upon telling him, he said, "May I give to your cause?"  And he handed us $100!  Yes, the man gave one hundred dollars, which covered the rest of the seventh sewing machine.  Thank you, God!
-We had safe, pleasant flights.
